There is something to be said about being seriously ill for 5 plus days. Not only was I sick, my whole family was down for the count. 102 degree fevers, coughing, shivers and shakes, coupled with crying children. The really fun part was when the kids got better than my wife and I two days before we were done. All I could think about were how people use to die from the getting this way. If it were not for cool baths and lots of Motrin I think things could have gotten very serious, very quickly.
Luckily all is well now. I have to say that having such a high temperature for such a long period of time really affected my thinking. I could not hold a conversation with anyone. I tried to go to work and left after an hour of just staring at people. When I finally went to a medical center for some additional meds I had trouble thinking of my address and other details of my life.
So, if you are going to get sick this year, I hope it is short and sweet. Hopefully, when the fog starts to clear, you will see a little more out of me here. I am finishing up on a few things that might take a day or two. So, more soon.
