Security Catalyst Community Forum Launched
I have mentioned the Trusted Catalyst Community in previous posts. I was extended the offer to become a Trusted Catalyst several months ago and, after two interviews with other Trusted Catalysts, I was accepted. Since then I have had the chance to interact with several experienced and interesting individuals. The reason I like this group is because of their understanding that education is key to helping people help themselves and thus build a strong and secure environment and community.
To this end the Trusted Catalysts have come together to operate, monitor, and participate in a professional forum for security professionals. If you are interested in participating browse to the Security Catalyst Community Forum and register for an account. Each person is required to register with a user name that is their <firstname>.<lastname>. Requests for exceptions will be taken into consideration on a case by case basis but this will be the exception rather than the norm. I am going to be posting there with the alias I use on this site because of personal reasons that I have cleared with the other Trusted Catalysts.
So, if you have questions to ask a group of helpful and established security professionals, you should consider becoming a member of this community. If you would like to make a difference by proposing and contributing to projects and conversations related to security, you should consider becoming a member of this community. If you would like to educate and mentor young security professionals in their personal and professional development, you should consider becoming a member of this community.
You'll find me there doing my part. You will also find several others as well.
Go forth and do good things,
Cutaway
